Dr. Stephanie Suprenant

Owner/ Plastic Surgeon

I grew up in Bourbonnais, Illinois, raised by three generations of women: my mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. During my time at Olivet Nazarene University, I cared for my grandmother as she battled terminal brain cancer. This experience sparked my interest in pursuing a medical career, which continues to influence my patient interactions.

After completing a Bachelor of Science in biology and chemistry, I worked as a chemist at ZLB Behring, a global leader in blood products. Seeking clarity about my role in community health, I moved to New York City to attend the Mailman School of Public Health at Columbia University. This time broadened my perspective on health determinants, reinforcing my belief in the significance of individual provider-patient relationships in healthcare.

Following my Master of Public Health, I returned to Illinois for medical school at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine. During my rotations, I discovered my passion for plastic surgery, witnessing life-changing procedures like thumb replantation, breast reconstruction, and pediatric burn scar contracture release.

I was honored to be inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor society upon completing my medical degree. Later, I pursued a highly competitive six-year integrated plastic and reconstructive surgery residency at the University of Wisconsin, specializing in various areas, including cosmetic surgery, breast reconstruction, craniomaxillofacial reconstruction, body contouring, and gender-affirming surgery.

During my residency, I met my life partner, Charles Acher, and we were blessed with two children, Arles and Wells. In 2019, we both began our careers at Community Medical Center in Missoula, Montana. Eventually, I decided to establish my private plastic surgery practice in 2023, being certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and maintaining active membership in the American Society of Plastic Surgeons.

In my free time, I enjoy exploring Montana's wilderness with my partner and children, as well as cooking, hiking, running, swimming, mountain biking, and skiing.  I have a first degree black belt in Taekwondo and practice ninja skills with my children nightly.
